Planning estimates are not garage quotes
Calculator results and price ranges are general UK planning guides based on stated inputs, modelled allowances and referenced market information. They do not inspect the vehicle and cannot account for every part, labour rate, VAT position, hidden defect, paint system, calibration, access issue or regional difference. They are not offers, valuations, diagnoses or binding quotations.
A garage’s written response is separate. Check whether it is fixed or estimated, what it includes, how long it is valid and how additional work will be approved.
Comparison scope
AutoToolsUK does not claim to compare every UK garage or every available price. Results depend on participating or listed providers, selected filters, available data and the garages that respond. “Lowest”, “nearest” and “earliest” describe the displayed comparison set at that time—not the whole market. Placement is not a quality guarantee.
No guaranteed response, saving or outcome
“We contact garages for you” means we attempt delivery to relevant quote-enabled garages and report when delivery is unavailable. It does not guarantee that a garage will reply, that multiple quotes will arrive, that the cheapest response is suitable, that a booking will be accepted or that using AutoToolsUK will save a particular amount of time or money.
Where we say a driver feature is “free”, we mean AutoToolsUK does not charge the driver for that stated feature. A garage may charge for diagnostics, inspection, call-out, recovery, parts or work; those charges must be confirmed before authorisation.
Safety and technical information
Content is general information, not a substitute for a competent physical inspection, the vehicle handbook, manufacturer instructions, insurer advice, DVSA rules or emergency services. Do not use a cosmetic estimate to decide that a damaged vehicle is safe to drive. Stop and seek appropriate help where there may be danger, injury, fire, leaking fluids, structural damage, damaged tyres/wheels, steering or braking faults, warning lights or impaired restraints.
Listings, ratings and third parties
Provider details, ratings, opening hours and services can change. Confirm material details directly. A listing is not certification, endorsement or a warranty of workmanship unless an explicit verified status says otherwise. Third-party videos and links are selected for relevance, remain the publisher’s content and do not create a partnership.
Advertising disclosures
Paid AutoToolsUK ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google or elsewhere should be read with the landing-page qualification closest to the claim. Ad examples, prices and time-saving scenarios are illustrative unless expressly supported by current evidence. We do not use “number one”, guaranteed savings, guaranteed quotes or whole-market comparison claims without robust evidence.
Sponsored provider placement, affiliate relationships, paid testimonials or gifted content will be labelled prominently where used. Genuine editorial or algorithmic ordering will not be represented as paid endorsement.
